Regarded by many as one of the best athletes to ever participate in two professional sports, Bo Jackson was born in 1962 in Bessemer, AL. He attended Auburn University to pursue his love of football. While at Auburn, Jackson excelled on the gridiron, on the baseball diamond and in track and field. For the Tigers football team, Jackson was named the MVP of both the Sugar Bowl in 1983 and the Liberty Bowl in 1984 and won the Heisman Trophy in 1985. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made him the first choice overall in 1986 but he chose to play professional baseball instead.

Jackson played for the Kansas City Royals during the 1986 season. When the season was over, he joined the NFL’s Los Angeles Raiders, rushing for 554 yards on 81 carries and scoring 4 touchdowns in 7 games. He returned to the baseball diamond and was selected to the American League All-Star Game in 1989. Jackson was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl in 1990, making him the first athlete to play in two sports’ All-Star Games, proving that “Bo Knows” sports.
