We have been monitoring the weather forecast all day with regard to Friday’s Mizzou Alumni Golf Classic at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club. Unfortunately, we are going to postpone the event until Monday, May 22.
Said Missouri Sports Hall of Fame CEO & Executive Director Byron Shive, “We have been in contact with the Millwood staff throughout the day. Based on the forecast and projected rainfall, we were at best looking at having to cancel the morning round altogether, with the cancellation of the afternoon round a very possibility. Even if the rain let up enough and we were able to play the entire tournament tomorrow afternoon, there is no one who would have any fun trying to play 34-36 teams at the same time in cart path only conditions. Plus, we would have had to rent extra golf carts to have enough to accommodate that many golfers. Therefore,
