With one year of pro-ball under his belt, Jim Eisenreich joined the Kansas City Royals in 1987, where he was mostly used as a pinch hitter and DH. In 1989, Jim got his chance to fill in at all three outfield positions and proved he could still contribute despite suffering from Tourette’s Syndrome. Eisenreich batted .293 and stole 27 bases in route to winning the Royals Player of the Year Award. His career included playing in two World Series; the first with the NL Champion Philadelphia Phillies in 1993 and then with the 1997 World Series Champion Florida Marlins.
