Teams sponsored by Ozark Shooters and Fast & Friendly won their respective rounds – and Mike Rowland had the highest overall score – in the Sporting Clays Classic presented by Killian Construction and sponsored by Bass Pro Shops.
Held at the Ozarks Shooters Complex in Walnut Shade, the event was a fundraiser for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
Rowland connected on 95 of 100 targets for the best morning round, and that edged the 94 turned in by Bryan Major in the afternoon.
Ozarks Shooters won the morning round’s A Flight with a 351 thanks to Rowland, John Russwurm, Ed Skeins and Johnnie Disanti.
The morning B Flight winner, with a 234, was a Bank of Bolivar-sponsored team of Dusty Armstrong, Greg Armstrong, Dayton Armstrong and Dillon Legan. The morning C Flight honors went to Control Services, which fired a 194 behind Kelly Cook, Dwight Gilmore, Marty Willadsen and Zach Altis.
In the afternoon, Fast N Friendly turned in the A flight’s best score, a 346, behind Major, Joe Naegler, Adam Naegler and John Goldsmith.
B Flight went to OakStar Bank’s Bolivar branch, which carded a 239 thanks to Josh Berry, Jesse Sheppeck, Trent Drake and Heath Seiner. C Flight honors were won by Bryan Properties, as Jack Williams, Eric Merritt, Bud Scott and Larry Lawrence fired a 175.
