Inductees

Edsel Matthews completed his twenty-fifth year as Athletic Director for the Springfield Public Schools in June 2003. Upon retirement, he accepted the Athletic Director position at Drury University on July 1, 2003. He has been an integral part of the Springfield sports scene for over forty years.

He founded the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions and KTXR Lady Classic, which have become national top ten tournaments and annual “happenings” in Southwest Missouri each winter.
