Inductees

Ken Lanning has made a significant contribution to the game of golf in Missouri for years. Lanning served as chairman of the Missouri State Junior Golf Program for eleven years, was a member of the Missouri State Golf Association Board of Directors for thirty-one years and was the sponsor of the Ken Lanning Junior Golf Tournament for twenty-seven years. Lanning has held as many as fifteen junior golf clinics each year in Missouri, where top amateurs and pros teach a clinic open to all boys and girls.

In addition to Lanning’s massive contribution to developing amateur and junior golfers, he is also an accomplished golfer himself. He won the U.S. Team Championship with Bruce Hollowell, was the St. Louis District Champion and a Medalist in the Missouri State Amateur Championship three times and was a semi-finalist numerous times. He was also the captain of the Missouri Amateur Cup, which was undefeated for four years. Lanning has competed and won countless national and state-wide championships.
