A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Johnny Roland played college football at the University of Missouri from 1962 to 1965, winning 3 All-Big Eight Conference honors before being named an All American his final year. The 1966 NFL Rookie of the Year, Roland played for seven seasons with the Cardinals and became the franchise’s leading rusher at the time of his retirement. He then went on to play for one season with the New York Giants. Johnny was an assistant coach for the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears.
