Inductees

Dr. Harlen C. Hunter supported Lindenwood University with both his time and money.

Hunter founded the St. Louis Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic in Chesterfield in 1979. In 1988, his contributions led to a significant renovation of Lindenwood’s stadium, including a new playing surface. The stadium was also named in Hunter’s honor, to recognize his role in its renovation.

Hunter also volunteered his services as a team physician and orthopedic surgeon to Lindenwood student-athletes for over a decade, from 1988-1999. During that time, he provided physicals, weekly visits, and game coverage for Lindenwood athletes.

In addition to his induction into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 1987 for his contributions to sports medicine, Hunter was also inducted into the Lindenwood Sports Hall of Fame in 2010 for “meritorious service.”
