Inductees

Gary “Skip” Grossnickle was a standout athlete for Kirksville High School. As a 9th grader, when grades 10-12 were the only high school grades, Gary played quarterback for the high school team. In high school, Gary was selected Captain or Co-Captain in football, basketball and track all three years. A three year letterman for the University of Missouri Tigers, Grossnickle’s best year was 1966 as he starred in the 1966 Sugar Bowl game, was named the Tigers Outstanding Defensive Back, selected as All-Conference Defensive Back and received All-Big 8 Honors.
