Enos Slaughter is probably most remembered for his first-to-home dash that won the seventh game of the 1946 World Series for the St. Louis Cardinals.

A 10 time All-Star while playing for the Cardinals, Slaughter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985 and ranks in the top 10 Cardinals in 10 different offensive categories. He was named the Most Valuable Player in 1949 by The Sporting News. A lifetime .300 hitter who invariably came through in clutch situations.
