Inductees

Dr. Paul McGannon was a successful surgeon at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri for more than 30 years and was chief of surgery for 20 years.

He also served as the team physician for Rockhurst High School from 1961 to 1986 as well as an honorary member of the board of directors.

A native of Humboldt, Kansas, McGannon received his bachelor’s from Rockhurst College in 1948 and graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1952. He furthered his education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating in 1958.

McGannon was a World War II veteran. He also served as a diplomat on the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow for the American College of Surgeons, and a past President of the Kansas City Surgical Society.
