1959 St. Agnes Basketball and Coach Robert Taylor
– Recognized as one of the best Missouri High School coaches with an illustrious career of over 40 years, Coach Bob Taylor is a legend in southwest Missouri. A Conway, MO native, Coach Taylor led three high school basketball teams in Missouri; Conway, Marshfield and Springfield St. Agnes. Conway won a state championship under Coach Taylor. Fifty years ago, Coach Bob Taylor and his 1958-1959 St. Agnes High School basketball team finished the year with 30 wins and only one loss. That special 1959 St. Agnes team won the Missouri High School State Class “M” Championship, The Blue and Gold Tournament, The Skyline Conference and the Nixa Invitational Tournament.
