"You go for it. All the stops are out. Caution is to the wind, and you're battling with everything you have. That's the real fun of the game." - Dan Dierdorf

In 1971, Dan Dierdorf began a 13 year career with the St. Louis Cardinals. A star offensive lineman and center, Dierdorf was voted All-Pro six times and named to the 1980 All-NFL team. Dierdorf was voted the top offensive lineman in the NFL for three consecutive years and offensive co-captain for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1980. Dan was the cornerstone of the offensive line, which allowed the fewest QB sacks in the NFL three times and in the NFC five times. He was named to the NFL Team of the Decade for the 1970’s. Dierdorf was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996.

Following his playing days, Dierdorf became a very successful TV football announcer.
