Inductees

August 21, 1915—May 28, 1988

A Westminster College record that will stand the test of time involves the Barrow Brothers from New Bloomfield, Missouri. Five of the six sons attended Westminster.

Each was named to the Dean’s List and earned a combined 32 varsity letters during a 17-year stretch when at least one son was enrolled at the College. In addition to their professional accomplishments, they formed one of the best basketball teams in Missouri during the 1930s.

In 1992 the Barrow Brothers, Cave (Class of 1930) Harold (Class of 1936), Ray (Class of 1940), Finis (Class of 1943), and younger brother John were inducted into the Missouri Basketball Hall of Fame. It was the first time a group of brothers were inducted together.

After Raymond graduated from Westminster College in 1940, he pursued an M.A. in mathematics at the University of Missouri. He also served as a naval aviator during World War II. Raymond served as a mathematics instructor at Westminster College for many years before his retirement in 1979.
