Jan Stenerud served 19 years in the NFL as a place kicker. he played 13 of those seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, 1967-1979, four seasons with the Green Bay Packers, 1980-1983, and two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, 1984 and 1985. He holds the NFL record for the most field goals in NFL history with 373. Stenerud, with 1,699 points, is the seond leading scorer in NFL history. He was selected to six Pro Bowls, including two AFL All-Star games and was named the outstanding offensive player of the game in the 1972 Pro Bowl.

Throughout his career, Stenerud has received many honors for this outstanding athletic ability. He was named to the National Football League Hall of Fame in 1991, the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1992, the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1991 and was named to the NFL’s Super Bowl Silver Anniversary Team.
