Jackie Smith played 15 years for the football Cardinals and ended his career in the Super Bowl, playing his final year for the Dallas Cowboys. At the end of his 16 year career, Smith held the NFL record for most pass receptions caught and most yards gained by a tight end. He played in five consecutive Pro Bowls and was named to The Sporting News NFL Eastern Conference All-Star team in 1966 and 1968. Smith did more than catch passes for the Cardinals, he rushed, punted and returned punts and kickoffs. Smith’s 15 seasons played ties him for the most seasons played for any Cardinal. His 198 games played is second in games played for the Cardinals and once played in 121 consecutive games.
