Winners announced in Lake of the Ozarks Celebrity Golf Classic

SUNRISE BEACH – DT Engineering and Advertising Plus took top honors in their respective rounds – and Jim Brandenburgh sank a hole-in-one – in the Lake of the Ozarks Celebrity Golf Classic presented by Missouri Eagle, held Monday at the Club at Porto Cima.

DT Engineering, paired with former St. Louis Cardinals infielder Tom Lawless, won the morning round with a 55. The team featured Jim Sheldon, Bill Brandt, Matt McBride and Brent Jones.

Meanwhile in other morning flights, SRC Logistics took B Flight with a 57 as the group featuring former University of Missouri and St. Louis Football Cardinals standout Mel Gray (MSHOF 2012) featured Dave Dyer, Nathan Dyer, Mike White and Mitch Barber. C Flight was won by Price Cutter Supermarkets, which featured former Kansas City Chiefs standout Art Still (MSHOF 2005) as well as Rob Marsh, Robert Parker, Bill Stroup and Dave Sweaney as they fired a 63.

In the afternoon round, former University of Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel (MSHOF 2016) teamed with the Ad Plus team of Marc Kiser, Mitchell Kiser and Tim Rinker to win A Flight with a 57.

The B Flight champion was the Missouri Equipment Leasing team featuring Rita Scott (MSHOF 13), Major League Baseball umpire Joe West along with Tara Rayle and Jane Stafford. The group fired a 63. Winning C Flight was Independent Printing featuring Wally Hemingway, Roy Woodall, Kevin Singleton and Andy Westrich as the team carded a 65.

In other on-course competitions, Brandenburgh sank a hole-in-one on No. 14 during the afternoon round. In long-drive competitions in that round, Mitchell Kiser won the 44-and-younger division on No. 2, while Chris Zimmerman won the 45 to 64 age division on No. 11 and former basketball coach and Gary Stanfield (MSHOF 2015) won the 65-and-older division on No. 18.

In morning events, former St. Louis Football Cardinals fullback Eddie Moss (MSHOF 2016) was the closest to the pin on No. 14. In long drive competitions, Steve Kitrel won the 44-and-younger division on No. 2, while Lawless won the 45 to 64 age division on No. 11 and former Kansas City Royals pitcher Al Fitzmorris won the 65-and-older division on No. 18.
